(+) hard-working
Mint applies herself and isn't afraid of screwing up 100 times in pursuit of true mastery. Once she decides to do something or promises that she will do something, she follows through. She respects others who work hard, as well.

(+) moral
She has a strong moral compass based on her own experiences and the teachings of her clan. Mint will not do anything that goes against her moral code and is quite justice-minded.

(+) kind
A kind and friendly person despite the fact that she isn't very lively or talkative. She is polite and generally treats people nicely.

(+/-) air-headed
She comes across as an airhead, tending to space out or not pick up on things that most around her would consider common sense. While some of this is because of the different culture she grew up in, she's naturally spacey.

(+/-) emotionless face/voice
She doesn't have wide variation in vocal or facial expression. Obviously she does feel happy or angry or sad, but it doesn't show on her face. Even when she's very happy, she might be like "Oh wow. " This leads to many misunderstandings.

(-) close-minded
Mint strongly trusts what she can see/hear/experience for herself. She thinks of her own worldview as the "correct" one rather than just one of many. Because of this, she finds it hard to relate to others or admit that someone else might be right about something, especially when it's related to religion/politics/lifestyle. The exception to this is when it comes to authority figures/people she respects. Though no one can ever get Mint to change her opinion on nobles, for example, if her captain told her something like "In Prima, people wear red on Wednesdays!" she'd be inclined to believe it, come to work wearing all red on a Wednesday, and then get confused when they tease her. That is, when it comes to things she cares about she's stubborn, but she is willing to put trust in the words of someone she respects, especially if it's about something that doesn't really matter to her.

(-) distrustful/prejudiced
While she is nice to people, she is generally distrustful of them at first and keeps most people at a polite distance. She tends to want to do everything herself and doesn't like to rely on others or confide in them. She doesn't volunteer information about herself easily, either, not wanting it to be used against her. Mint is especially prejudiced against other animal hybrids that aren't cats and against nobles.

(-) martyr complex/low sense of self-worth
Because of her past experiences, Mint is quick to take problems onto herself and victimize herself. She sees this as the natural course of things and feels that she deserves to suffer. At times, she may deliberately put herself into danger to reinforce her own view of herself.

Mint was born to a nomadic cat hybrid clan from a faraway land. In this clan, gender was not seen as important—birth order was everything. Men and women bathed together and spent time together and nobody batted an eye over sexuality of any kind. Mint was one of the younger ones in her family, so she was used to taking orders and deferring to those ahead of her in the pecking order. She did have one younger brother whom she doted on and felt she was closest to out of all of her siblings. Though her expressionless nature caused a lot of misunderstandings, as long as her brother understood her and was kind to her, she was fine and could endure everything.

It eventually turned out that one of her older brothers had an inferiority complex towards Mint and when he took over as head of the clan, he had Mint cast out. Her younger brother, not wanting her to be alone, went along with her and they journeyed out of the land that was their home, taking on odd jobs along the way. However, they were sadly separated and her brother was killed under some shady circumstances. It was in pursuit of the person she holds responsible for her brother's death that Mint came to Prima. Once there, however, she couldn't ignore the plight of the townspeople and ended up joining a local militia, the Sparring Sparrows.

Though she takes her job as a knight of the militia seriously and is slowly getting used to living in Prima, she also has a deep hatred burning within her. She doesn't let people know that she's a cat hybrid, instead wearing a headband to make it appear as if she's only wearing a cat ears accessory. When asked, she says, "...I was told that people think this looks cute...meow."

abilities/skills
* uses a steel trident and net to fight; as such, she's more of a long-ranged fighter. She throws her net at her opponent to stun them or slow them down, then either stabs or throws her trident.
* due to having to carry around her weapons and train with them, Mint is stronger than the average person and has quite a bit of stamina; however, she is average in speed. Strong sense of hearing and smell.
* has the ability to transform into a black cat for brief periods of time.

cultural differences
* doesn't care about gender; definitely the type to walk into a men's bath or strip around guys without a care.
* very respectful about age order; respects those older than her and usually ignores those younger than her unless they do something to earn her respect.
* prefers to take a midday nap and thus sleeps less at night/wakes up very early; thinks it's strange that others don't also do this.

* can endure extreme heat very well, but gets cold easily.
* holds her liquor well, generally able to drink most humans under the table.
